I love vegetables, but they are underrated in our macho meat-and-cheese society. I’m trying this session to fix vegetables’ image and make them less lame.
I made some green beans with olive oil and soy sauce.
I made some broccoli with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Then I topped myself with this cauliflower:
Olive oil (of course!), garlic, turmeric, salt, and pepper. I still have 2 more cauliflowers, and I can’t imagine cooking them any other way. Maybe in curry.
It’s very interesting to me how much the season changes while I’m at camp. It’s first session, so there aren’t any vegetables in the garden, really. I did, however, get some basil…
… and some dill:
